When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

1. Email Address
This is the email that you provide if you wish to receive The Glowing Muse newsletter.
This information is maintained by mailchimp.com in a contacts list within their server – we access this list through the web-based Mailchimp dashboard only. We do not process your email further, do not download it and do not share it with any third party (e.g. with brands).
We will use your email address to email you The Glowing Muse newsletter which may contain direct or indirect marketing material (for example, sponsored posts about skincare products and brands and brand advertisements).
When you subscribe to receive the newsletter, you consent to receive this marketing information which forms part of this website. If you do not wish to receive such marketing information, you should not subscribe to the newsletter. You can continue to use the website freely, without subscribing to the newsletter.
If you are subscribed to the newsletter and wish to unsubscribe, an ‘unsubscribe’ button is available at the bottom of all newsletters sent by The Glowing Muse
2. Your Name
This is only in relation to comments on posts; this could be just a first name only (not identifiable data), first and last name, alias (not identifiable data) or initials (not identifiable data) and/or your email address. We do not process this data further and do not store it. This data is stored by Squarespace.
3. Technical Data
The Glowing Muse website uses Google Analytics, a service that transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, small text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. Google Analytics does not identify personal information or individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage. The Glowing Muse does not hold or process this data – enquiries about the processing of technical data should be addressed to Google.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
